Platform Integration

One Environment, Many Tools

3KEYMASTER™ models are built using objects from the tool libraries. A simulation diagram — a graphical representation of the simulated system — can draw objects from different tools as needed to provide a complete and comprehensive simulation. The object-oriented, graphic nature of these tools reduces modeling errors and improves the efficiency and speed of model building: objects can be dropped, dragged, connected, and configured to form networks of varying complexity.

Hydraulic modeling
FlowBase Tool
A Hydraulic Modeling Network Tool for high-fidelity simulation of fluid systems — pumps, valves, tanks, filters, and all components forming thermal cycles. Calculates water properties in liquid and vapor phases with conservation of mass, energy, and momentum. Supports user-defined fluid mediums (oil, gas) and includes an integrated heat transfer model for heat exchange of varying complexity.

Electrical distribution
Electrical Network Tool
High-fidelity electrical distribution and grid modeling — generation systems, voltage regulators, high-voltage buses, switch gears, tap changers, DC buses, and all electrical-power apparatuses influencing generation and distribution. Fully replicates the effects of large motors on bus voltage and frequency using a complex induction motor model, enabling accurate simulation of plant power loss scenarios.

Logic and Control Tool
Simulates Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems — protection circuits, interlocks, and logic-based systems including valve and pump control schematics. Supports both Boolean logic and floating-point operations for Digital Control Systems (DCS), making it a powerful supplement to a wide range of simulation tasks.

Wiring & relay modeling
Relay Tool
Models traditional I&C based on circuit and wiring diagrams — supplementing DCS protection circuits and capturing the important relay logic between DCS I/O signals and controlled equipment such as valves, pumps, and breakers. Enables tracking and visualization of relay contacts from a plant operator push-button all the way to the controlled device — preserving critical wiring diagram knowledge as analog systems are phased out.

Component Tool and Library
Simulates miscellaneous unique components — valve actuators, breakers, controllers, and other plant equipment. The component library contains common types found across plant and machinery. New component types can be created as modeling objects and added to the growing library for reuse across future projects.

Fuel and Combustion Modeling Tool
Models the complete process of fuel utilization at thermal power plants — from coal pulverization and fuel transport through combustion, radiation heat transfer, and flue gas cleanup. Gas emissions monitoring is included with dedicated blocks for flue gas composition and opacity analyzers.

Instrumentation
Transmitter Tool
Monitors and indicates measurable parameters — pressure, flow, temperature, and level — with unit conversion between British and SI unit systems. Power supply to transmitters is handled within the tool's components. High/low switches enable modeling of limit switches used in Instrumentation and Control (I&C).

Combine any set of objects into a single reusable icon

The Macro Object capability allows a set of existing objects to be combined into a single object represented by a single icon. This macro object can be placed and reused across multiple model pages — maximizing efficiency and minimizing modeling work across complex projects.
